Windsor Castle. A joiner created by Mark Murfitt © 2012 . All rights reserved.

Windsor Castle, London

I know, I know, Windsor isn’t strictly London, in fact I guess it’s not really London at all, but it’s close enough.

Apparently Windsor Castle is the queen’s favorite residence, I guess when you have so many big-ass houses to choose from you just choose the biggest.

This joiner was taken as a proof of concept for a client who never actually ended up buying it, which was nice of them, but no problem…I’ll just find someone else who wants to buy themselves some exclusive, unique, quite simply amazing artwork ;-)

This was a first for me, in the way it was shot that is. Without getting in to all the boring techie stuff I was basically further away from the ‘subject’ than I would normally be, which had the effect of the foreground being soft; and to be honest, I really quite like the effect.

I’d quite like to take the contributing photos which make this joiner again, but in summer, as the overall effect looks a little…cold, but then again it was winter when I took the photos…hmmm, just need the time to get the shots now…
