Tied boats, Cornwall

I remember seeing a photo in a Greek holiday brochure once which looked just like this shot, however this is most definitely not Greece, it’s actually the harbour in Mevagissey, a small town on the south coast of Cornwall. This joiner also reminds me of the professional dog walkers you see on Hampstead Heath, struggling with a mass of dogs all wanting to be off the lead..

I was quite surprised once I’d put this joiner together at how nice and inviting the sea looked, not something you’d normally associate with the English coast line.

This was amongst the first joiners I ever photographed, and I actually quite like the way I was quite arty in following the ropes to the boats, sometimes I even surprise myself… :)
