Langdale Tarn, The Lake District

I’ve been particularly looking forward to posting this joiner as it’s a very special joiner to me. Why? I hear you ask, well it’s the largest joiner I’ve created to date; standing a little under 38ft wide by 13ft tall, it’s not just huge, it’s massive!!

This really is one of my very favorite joiners, I just love the way the sun is cuts through on the left hand side, and the deep blue sky looks awesome, and that’s to say nothing of the sheer scale of the piece, which is out of this world!

Travelling to the location to take the individual photos for the joiner was a bit of death defying drive as it was the middle of winter and they don’t bother putting any salt on the mountain pass roads..which meant lots and lots of very scary ice to drive over.
You might notice that over on the right hand side, under the clouds, are the Langdale Pikes, the subject of a previous post. I can’t actually remember if both these joiners were taken on the same trip, it was a little while ago when I took them..

One of my ambitions is to see this joiner printed to scale, all 38ft of it, so if you’re reading this and you think you might be able to help, please get in touch and lets have a chat..
