Covent Garden is a great place to hang out, especially during the summer months.
Why the summer months I hear you ask?
Well, in the summer months there’s quite a few tourists visiting (that’s putting it mildly), and this is when all the street artists come out, they’re great fun to watch and often have massive crowds which they entertain.
Actually, in the winter there’s like a little fairground permanently situated in one corner, or at least there was last year..
It’s a corner of London with loads of places to eat and do some people watching. It’s also a great place to grab something to eat before you delve in to the West End for a show.
There’s also some very cool shops in and around the area, some of them really quirky selling things you never knew you needed until you saw them.
I don’t visit nearly enough…hmmm, got a new entry for my to-do list..must visit Covent Garden more often, must visit Covent Garden more often..
So, if you’re planning on visiting London, you can do a lot worse than plan to spend an afternoon here, enjoying the sites and smells..; and if you’re from London…get down to Covent Garden and remind yourself why you love London!
